Job Description

  • Undertaking lifeguard duties to ensure a safe and secure environment for visitors and colleagues (NPLQ qualification is desirable or the applicant must be willing and able to gain the qualification within first 3 months of employment).

  • Delivering the highest standard of customer service and care.

  • Assisting with the daily running of the centre, this may include working different shifts on rota basis such as reception, pitch attendant, lifeguard and/or birthday party assistant.

  • Ensuring the centre adheres to and complies with health and safety standards whilst on shift.

  • Carrying out tasks to include cleaning duties and routine maintenance as instructed by management on duty.

  • Ensuring the centre is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness.

  • Ensuring the safety and welfare of staff and users of the centre through the operation of all Health and Safety procedures and standards and be aware of your role in managing emergencies, accident reporting and report defects as necessary.

  • Assisting customers with regard to lost property, first aid, use of equipment and provide general information regarding the centre.

  • Dealing with complaints in a sensitive manner.

Requirements

  • NPLQ qualification is desirable (or willingness to gain the qualification within first 3 months of employment)

  • First Aid at work is desirable (but not essential)

  • Previous experience of working within the leisure industry is preferred (but not essential)

  • Required to work outside normal hours, including evenings, weekends and school holidays

  • Responsible for maintaining all relevant qualifications and attending training sessions as part of normal working arrangements.
