Depending on your circumstances you will pay either: Full - Full standard fee or Conc - Concessionary fee

Concessionary fees apply if you are: aged 60+, an Aspire Centre member or in receipt of proof of income-based benefits, which must be shown when you enrol for your course. Please bring original documents which we will photocopy as evidence.

Benefits that qualify for concessionary fees are: Job Seekers Allowance, Income Support, Housing or Council Tax Benefit, Working Tax Credit, Disability Allowance.

You must pay for your course either in full or at the concessionary rate at enrolment. You may be able to pay for your course in instalments - we can accept two equal instalments over two consecutive months. Please ask a member of staff for details.
There is no fee payable for Skills for Life courses - Adult Literacy and Adult Numeracy - and Family Learning courses.
You may be required to purchase stationery, textbooks or other materials for some courses. Please see the Course Information Sheet or wait for the first session of your course when your tutor will inform you of any necessary purchases.

Cancellations and refunds
Answers to common questions about cancellations & refunds:

Can I cancel my course application?
You may cancel within seven working days (i.e. Monday to Friday excluding public holidays) of applying for the course. If you exercise your right to cancel, we will refund your full course fee within 30 days of receiving your notice of cancellation.
Can I cancel after the course starts?
If you attend one or more sessions of the course before your right to cancel expires (see above for details), we will refund the course fee minus the cost of the session you attended (for example, if you attended one session of a 10-week course, we will refund 9/10ths of the course fee). You will receive this refund within 30 days of us receiving your notice of cancellation.
Otherwise, course fees will not usually be refunded after the course has started. Please note that £5 will be deducted from your refund to cover administrative costs.
How do I cancel?
Inform the Centre by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or writing to: Aspire Centre, 337 Merton Road, Wandsworth SW18 5JU
When we cancel a course?
If we cancel a course for any reason (e.g. because not enough people have signed up for it), we will attempt to offer you an alternative course. Otherwise, we will refund your full course fee within 30 days of us cancelling the course.
Refunds in exceptional circumstances:
Once a course has begun, we will only consider refund requests in exceptional personal circumstances. If, due to exceptional circumstances, you wish to request a refund, please write to the above postal or email address explaining the relevant circumstances. Your request will be passed to the head of adult learning, who will decide whether to offer a full or partial refund.
What happens if I join a course after it has started?
If you join a course part way through, you will usually be expected to pay the full course fee. Late joiners cost just as much in administration for us, and course tutors may need to assess how they can help new learners to catch up with the rest of the class and produce the necessary additional materials. However, reduced fees may be payable in certain circumstances. Please ask before you enrol if you are concerned about this.
Cancellation of a session by us:
If a class has to be cancelled because of the absence of the tutor we will, where possible, arrange an extra session to make up for the cancelled one.

Book Early
Don't wait until the last moment to enrol. If you wait until the last few days your class might already be full or might have been cancelled because of low enrolment

Aspire Centre Gift Vouchers
Unsure what to give for a special occasion, birthday or Christmas present? We can provide gift vouchers for Aspire Centre courses and any other Aspire courses/sessions for any amount or for a specific course.

Suggestions For New Courses
We are always open to suggestions for new courses and would be delighted to hear your ideas for future courses.

Disclaimer
The College is obliged to run courses in a cost effective manner. This will normally be determined by the number of students enrolled on a course. If, at the start of a course, the viability of the course has to be questioned due to low numbers, the College will explore the possibilities of running it in another way or at a higher fee. As a last resort the College may cancel the course. The viability of a course that runs over more than one term will also be reviewed at the start of each new term.
