Job Description
As a Duty Manager at Aspire Centre, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility and the delivery of exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing staff, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service Excellence:
Greet and assist members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Handle inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and effectively.
Ensure that all visitors have a positive experience at Aspire Centre.
Facility Operations:
Supervise the opening and closing of the facility as per the schedule.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness throughout the centre.
Monitor equipment, ensuring safety and functionality.
Staff Management:
Lead, train, and motivate a team of front-line staff, including receptionists and facility attendants.
Manage shift assignments.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.
Safety and Security:
Enforce safety rules and regulations to ensure the well-being of all users.
Respond to emergencies and incidents, following established protocols.
Conduct safety inspections and report any maintenance issues.
Membership and Sales Support:
Assist with membership sign-ups, renewals, and enquiries.
Participate in marketing initiatives to attract new members.
Administrative Tasks:
Maintain accurate records of daily operations, incidents, and inventory.
Assist with financial transactions, including cash handling and reconciliation.
Complete administrative tasks such as scheduling and reporting.
Event Coordination:
Coordinate and oversee events, tournaments, and special activities at the centre.
Ensure all logistical aspects of events are well-executed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a supervisory or management role in the sports and recreation industry is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
NPLQ qualification is desirable (or willingness to gain the qualification within first 3 months of employment)
First Aid at Work qualification is desirable.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Responsible for maintaining all relevant qualifications and attending training sessions as part of normal working arrangements.
